New here. I have owned a 98 outback for a number of years and I am looking to replace it with something only slightly newer and less shitty. I went and looked at a 2000 Legacy GT in manual that says it has a swapped transmission. The ad reads," non outback 3.9 ratio 5MT(better gas mileage), new rear differential-3.9 ratio". I drove it and the gearing is great for the freeway and gas mileage, I am just curious if anybody knows what transmission this could be in case I have to get the clutch done. I am unsure if it is JDM or from something else, the work order doesn't give me much and the owner is unsure. I went and test drove it today, its in amazing shape for 220k miles, runs so smooth.
